Missionary Experience
I served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Alpine German-Speaking mission. This area covered southern Germany, German-speaking Switzerland, and Austria. I had the opportunity to learn German and meet/work with a large variety of people from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds.

Encouraged and led groups of missionaries ranging from about a dozen to a couple hundred
Met with and addressed concerns of fellow missionaries
Organized and gave presentations in monthly conferences
Lead weekly meeting

Trained incoming missionaries, specifically in Travels and Finances related to the area
Taught German and various skills

As you would expect, being a missionary involves talking to a lot of people. In general, my goal was to form genuine connections and answer any questions the person may have. In the end, I wanted to make sure the other person’s day was better after meeting me!

Frequent presentations
Composed emails sent to missionaries and missionary families
Created and organized travel itineraries for missionaries

My current calling involves teaching lessons about church topics once a month. I gather the appropriate and related material and lead discussions on the topic, emphasizing participation from others in the meeting
