Intro to 3D Modeling

This class was to teach the basics of 3D modeling. Over the course of the semester, we modeled a World of Warcraft weapon in Maya and a Bust of a character in ZBrush. After organizing the UVs of both, we then used Substance Painter to paint the models.

3D Modeling

This class primarily involved learning to 3D Model Characters. The overall class project was to design and model an Overwatch character. You can see the concept art on the left and the final 3D model on the right.

3D Model Texturing

This Class Involved learning how to texture game assets. The final project was 2 props (as seen in the images)

Steps:

  1. Model a high-poly version of the game prop using Maya and ZBrush

  2. Create a low-poly version of the game prop and bake the high-poly version onto that low-poly version

  3. Organize UVs

  4. Create Texture Flats using Photoshop

  5. Apply Textures and and place Game Props into Unreal Engine
